I have started to see references to a XTS4500 on M Online. I haven't seen it anywhere else yet. Anyone have the inside scoop if this radio is going to production yet?

I thought the XTS2500 was completely different from the XTS3000 and up. I forget who it was but someone here had a chance to use one and said that it was the same size as an HT1550....can anyone confirm?

Pictures of the XTS2500 are not hard to come by. I've got a comparison shot of an XTS2500 and 3500 (or maybe 5000) radios from a battery brochure and it is pretty obvious that the XTS2500 is smaller than the XTS5000/3500/3000. It doesn't have a 3 position toggle, however and instead of having clear/encrypted on the concentric switch, 'A' and 'B' are marked.
Nice looking. I'd probably consider making purchase on one if it had a three position toggle as well as 2 position concentric. I guess I'll be happy with my XTS3000

I did a little looking around on M's site, so far I have found an XTS 2250 (
http://www.motorola.com/cgiss/LA/astro2250_eng.htm )and XTS 4250 (
http://www.motorola.com/cgiss/LA/astro4250_eng.htm ), They seem to be export radios. Mabey this is also an export radio?

The 2500 will be out in 780-870 band in U.S.
I do not know about other bands. It is about the size of the 1250 and uses the same ribless programming cable and software as the 5000.

Says VHF and UHF Range 1 and 2 are future enhancements. Anyone have a key on when this might happen?
