I wonder when he will sell 3500s or 5000s. I could use that radio with 512 memory channels.

How long ago did you pay for it?
I bought one back on March 7th and am getting ansy
Even more so when I received an email saying Nick was in the hospital for tests and I'd have the radio in my hands on Friday (April 4th)
Just curious and VENTING a bit...

I've got two on the way, purchased 1 month ago - just yesterday received the tracking information.
As well all know, be patient with Nick. expect to wait 30 days before receiving his fine radios!

Maybe I spoke too soon.... I dunno. But, tracking information from UPS was just a reference to the fact that billing took place. Which means, my radios haven't shipped. Calls to Watchbuddy have gone unanswered, and now I'm going on almost 1 1/2 months waiting for them to arrive. Every week bring a "they are shipping next week" - but they never arrive.
Folks, I've been a good customer of nick, but boy he sure has me worried right now. This doesn't even fit into Net-30 day terms.

None of the agencies that I am authorized on use any advanced features such as MDC, MODAT, and the like. My question is what use could I get out of any of the "Watchbuddy" features lets say using MURS for alteranate comms and private comms?

[quote="r0f"]Just got one in the mail today. Mint condition. Works excellent. Here are the specs:
Host Firmware: R07.08.00
DSP Firmware: DSPN08.02.02
Flash: 548008-000480-9
This ends the era of the "whored out flashcode", which I constantly bitched at him about :)
Thanks Nick.

*Nope, I was told that "W-O" flash is still current and being shipped for the xts3k's as of yesterday.
*Contact me. Perhaps I need to ask differently?

I think he's pointing out that there's good & bad in dealing with Nick. News flash...that pretty much happens with anybody you deal with. I know I get busy at work to the point of needing to prioritize jobs, which leads to some people waiting longer than others. It's obvious Nick does what he does outside of his "regular" work, so it's not surprising things sometimes get put on the back burner. Bottom line is...people always get satisfaction from Nick...sooner or later. If you're an impatient person, then pay full pop somewhere else & maybe get it sooner.
