Siren/PA on Astros

Post by fire-medic8104 »

I'm new to astros so this may be a stupid question to some of you, but can you use the siren/pa box that says "systems 9000" on it or do you have to use the one that says "spectra astro".

I have access to a lot of the systems 9000 box that connects to the radio, but can't justify spending the money Motorola wants for the Spectra Astro one. I do have the HLN1241c DEK that is made for the Astros. I'm also have the cable for the Astro.

Also, I know the siren must be enabled in RSS. Where is that located?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Should work fine. I use a "B" revision of the Siren/PA with my Astro. It says Systems 9000 on it. Not Astro.

Thanks a lot, I dug through all the sirens and found one that said astro so I'm all good. Also, I found where it needs to be enabled in RSS. Will be putting it in this weekend so we'll see how it goes.
