Lightbar Antennas

Has anyone ever see one of these around? I have been noticing this company advertise in the Fire service publications and just this morning noticed it in the March/April issue of 911 Magazine.

They are peel and stick antennas that mount to the top of the lightbar domes... Seems a bit different than anything else out there. Just wondering of anyone knows how well (or not) they work.

Must be some kind of "thru the glass (plastic)" antenna if they are truly "peel 'n stick".

I have seen some mounted thru the metal speaker enclosure on the litebar for some earlier models, but they were 3/4" Motos.

Dunno - probably work as well as Antenna Specialists thru the glass. Wouldn't want to try to run any 100 watters thru them, though.

LMAO!!! Let anyone stupid enough to mount an antenna there find out the hard way!

On the FS Vector/Vision bars, there is a sticker on the bar that says "Do not mount antennas to the lightbar" or something similar.

Look at it this way: Everyone wants to come up with a new angle for sales, whether the OEM wants them to or not.

I figure because of the lack of ground plane that they would suck for performance.... but for someone who doesn't want holes.... i dunno. If you drill one for the lightbar you might as well keep going for the antennas.

This has got to be three times as much work as placing them on the roof.....and they'll have a ground plane, too.
