What’s this I read about the 20 member scan list that might be included in the latest Astro CPS? Does this apply to conventional and trunking? Which radios will it work with? Does it take a certain Host/DSP or will it work with older radios? It sure would be nice to have more than the 10 member list. I never understood that.

Motorola apparently, was responding to this "flaw" after EFJ released their APCO25 portables about a year ago, which contain more scan list members than their XTS series portables.
It's sad that my 800 MHz Spectra (non-astro) has more scan list members, than my XTS3000.

The Spectra has what? 16. I'd enjoy the luxury of having 16 on my XTS. I hear that some Astro Spectras can do 16 talkgroups.
this apparent "flaw" must have been one that has followed Motorola un-fixed since they introduced the STX! The STX did 5+1 talkgroups, the later MTX and MTS did 10+1, and by golly if the XTS doesn't also do 10+1....
Motorola must be joking about their lack of talkgroup scan as a "flaw".

I though the limited amount of talkgroup scan in a trunked radio has to do with the ability of the radio to monitor the CC channel

Well, being that EDACS portables can have an unlimited amount of members, I don't think that is the case.

True. At least only limited by the number of talk groups in the selected system. I can scan up to 64 talk groups on my M-RK if I want to.
