Need a codeplug for a UHF 450-520 Astro Saber III with a whored out flashcode and new firmware. I am running CPS R01.04.00.
Am I correct and just have to load the codeplug in. Anyone please help me. Thanks

You don't get firmware upgrades by codeplugs. If you could do that, mother M would REALLY be out of business. (ok, I'm kidding, but you get the idea).
Either way, you don't want to risk screwing something up with your radio. There are some people here who are advocates of just swapping out s-records - but things like the other radios serial number and such change, and that's usually not a good thing.
Just an FYI.

Im sorry Alex, I was not clear enough,
I have new firmware and the whored out flashcode already. I am getting the codeplug too new for application message. I am just looking for older software in the codeplug, I have CPS R01.04.00
and it won't the radio. Sorry for the confusion.

Ok,
I'll see if we can figure this out:
Sounds like your reading the radio and getting a codeplug too new error - which means your software is out of date.
You'd like to attempt to find a codeplug that will work in 1.4 of the CPS (why not just use RSS - so much better sometimes).
Chances are you might have some trouble stepping the radio down. I'm not sure, but I doubt it.
I would suggest contacting Motorola and buying a copy of the software you need. That would be the most efficent and best way to solve your problem. Your going down a road that will eventually end up with you having a dead radio, and I don't think many people want that to happen to you.
