A 25 amp power supply will workk just fine. Although it's a little larger than what you really need, it will last longer- especially if you use the radio alot. I t still recommend a standard type supply and not a switching type. They're just more reliable in the long run.

About the power supply. Please make sure of the duty cycle. We repair a number of power supplies because most people do not look
at the duty.A 25 amp. supply is great for
the job.Rememder what is it's duty cycle?

My two pennies from power supply repairs.

Hi:

My experience has shown the use of a good
30 Amp ( well regulated ) power supply will
saftely protect the Radio and Power Supply
from damage.

Also, as the other person stated. Make SURE
it is NOT a intermittent duty type unit, otherwise it will probably end up in a repair shop at some point.
