Looking for part number or suggestions for an aftermarket RF Adapter for an XTS3000 Public Safety Mic. Thanks.

The RF adaptor for the XTS to use the PSSM has a part number of NTN8327A and last time I checked prices at $140.00. I don't know of any work around because I surely don't want to pay that much. I have seen them once in a great while on eBay.

Thanks. I saw them on ebay a while back also and they went for next to nothing, I made the mistake of assuming they where a Radioshack $10 part.

Do you think motorola could have designed that radio so it did not need an rf adapter to work with the psm. It looks to me like a money making issue or something of that nature the adapter cost almost the same as the mic itself that is nuts.

I haven't done a lot of testing between the PSSM for the MTS and the XTS. Maybe the RF adapter is a better power transfer point (In theory it seems to be correct) or it just makes it easier to switch between the PSSM and the XTVA.

Sounds logical but they shouldnt charge that much money for it your spending around $300.00 bucks plus shipping ect... for wanting to put a PSM on your radio. Oh welll..... thats life sometimes

They've been on eBay lately. I'm not sure about currently though. I bought mine for about 40-something a few months ago. Brand new.

Watch out with ebay because there have been some defective mics going around I was a victim of one a while back.
