Is it true to say that a 512k radio is not IMBE compatable
Thanks

No. NOT true.
IMBE is common in 512K radios. I have
at least one.
What IS true to say is that a radio MUST
have at a minimum version 4 DSP firmware,
and compatible HOST firmware to run it,
and it must still be properly flashed with
the right IMBE option in order to be IMBE
capable
The precise host and DSP firmware versions
that define the start of IMBE support are
probably known to some people, but I don't
know exactly. I can say that it's about
version 4 HOST and 5 DSP.

Here is what I've found the hard way...
Host Firmware must be version R04.00.00 or greater and DSP firmware must be version 06.xx.xx or greater. I believe the oldest DSP version I've seen that does APCO25 (if memory serves me right) is 06.04.01.
512K boards work perfectly well for APCO25/IMBE.
