I am sort of familiar with all the in and outs as well as workings of the Motorola Sabers. Meaning the different models such as Saber I, II, and III and how (if you have an 8k size radio)you can turn a II into a III.

The question I have is about Astro Sabers and goes as follows: I know they have an Astro Saber I and there is an Astro Saber III so it leads me to believe that there is an Astro Saber II. So if that is the case what is the difference between an Astro Saber II and a III???? Is it just a keypad????

A small customer wants to digital due to buying into the myths not no one can receive digital (which I told him was a lie) but he still thinks that it is true no one can hear digital cause nextel and all the other cell companies are digital. Anyways we thought the road of IMBE APCO25 format like motorola might be good but he does not like the XTS, but he loves the Astro Sabers. Of course he wants the versions with the keypad also.

So I ask all the Astro Saber gurus this question for the answer.

Thanks in advance for all the information.

Ohh Ohh i forgot. AS1's and AS2's are the only astro saber radios that can be ruggedized.
