I been trying to read my Astro Saber III and I been getting a Protocol Entry Error with it. I think the codeplug is corrupted or something down that line. I want to put some Amateur Repeaters that are running APCO-25 in the area and its really getting me frustrated. If anyone can help or send me a codeplug to get this thing going correctly I would very much appreciate it.
Thanks!
Brian

I would check your serial connection of the computer/rib and try another rib box.
Also just try to access the radio via the service menu and see what happens. Sometimes that will read when the normal F2 doesn't.
Also, does it operate normally the way that it is programmed?

PEE normally indicates that you are the new proud owner of a very expensive paper weight.

The radio operates fine when its powered up and stuff no error codes on the display or anything like that. I will try to to read it on the service menu and see what happens with that. I think it might be the speed of the computer or the codeplug needs to be reloaded. So with that I will keep on trying or try to get down to the shop and see if they still have the original copy of my codeplug which I highly doubt.
Thanks! Guys

I actually created a dos boot disk and I guess that boots the computer into dos? But I did try to read the thing in the service F2 command and still no luck. So I guess I will try to reload the thing with the original codeplug which the shop has and see if that works. I am using a genuine Motorola RIB and Cable but the programing cable is aftermarket which could be the problem but the dam thing did work on it before. I might even try using a slower computer and see if that works.
Thanks!
