Kenwood Takes a Position on D-STAR!

Post by ASTROMODAT »

Kenwood has come out in favor of the D-STAR standard. Yaesu is still opposed, and they cite their WIRES system.

Hopefully, the pressure of the Big Two will eventually turn around Yaesu.

most excellent, digital is the way to go, nothing wrong with good ole analog mind you, but ive always wonderd why ham radio was so far behind... you should see the looks on the local hams faces when i talk to them using my motorola stuff, or when i talk about progress in installing the areas first 927Mhz ham repeater..

talk about deer in headlights lol...

the d-star system looks intreaging, hopefully they will expand this to 440..
