Astro Spectra Model ID Question

I've got an opprutunity to buy an Astro Spectra UHF. The seller says it's a HIGH BAND UHF, but the model # is as follows: T04QLH9PW9AN. He said he's only using it for scanning and cannot answer technical questions about it. The decoder wheel shows this radio as being a LOW UHF SPLIT. Is there something I'm missing? Can this radio be a high split? could it be a hack?
Scott.

unless the rf board (among other things) has been replaced with range 3 components...
it's a low split
there were about 40 of those on a liquidation site not too long ago

Well the guy said he was using it to recieve LAPD, Burbank county, etc. He guranteed me we could return it if it doesn't do what we need it to do. Sounds like a hacked radio but it doesn't matter. As long as it works right? I went ahead and sent the cash out. I'll keep you guys posted but he's got me convinced he's on the up and up.

he claims it will do 460's where I need it to go. If infact it does NOT, maybe we can work something out here so I can get the draw I actualy need. 403-470 would be perfect so it will do ham, but 450-470 works too. I'll let you know what it really does when it comes in this weekend.
