Band Limit hack for CPS 3.0 Portable

Post by ssybert »

Anyone know of a band limit hack for CPS 3.0? It seems my radio will do 445-521. Real useful for the ham bands. You'd think they'd squeeze an extra 5 mhz in there to make the damn thing useful. Oh well.

Anyone know how to make CPS 3.0 go down another 5?

Thanks, Scott.

Do you still have a 9.5 codeplug for the radio? If so, load it up in 9.5, add the channels you want to have in the radio, program those into it, and then go back and add everything else around it in 3.0.

As far as I know, if it's already in there, 3.0 prob. won't cry about it. I can't be positive since I really haven't played with the software but anyone who wants to do band hacks is prob. much better off with 9.5.

Err!! I dont have a codeplug from 9.5. I tried searching through the EXE file for the band limits but it looks like 3.0 is a different that the 1.0 hack. I couldn't find any band limits in the EXE. I'm not a very skilled HEX editor, but if they were in there, I think I would have found them :(. Is there a way to back the last programmed version down so I can read it with 9.5?

Scott.
