Anyone done hideaway strobes in jeep cherokees before? I am looking at putting clear bulbs in backup and headlights... Tips/tricks, special considerations?? Many thanks!

Cheers!

Last time I worked on a Cherokee the headlights were glass.Unless you change the headlights to the plastic halogens it wont work. The back up housings are really small and might be hard to install a strobe tube..

i've done a hide-away stobe install in a cherokee base model. they fit in the reverse lights. for the front i put clear tubes in the directional signals so it ends up lookin amber of course. the power supply can be located under the rear seat bottom. there's a nice void space in there.

Standard 84-01 XJ Cherokee (Squarokee) or the Grand Cherokee?

The Squarokee has glass headlights and the Grand Cheerokee has composites. Either model will accept them in the front turn signals.
The Squarokee's glass headlights may be swapped out for Bosch or Hella H4 DOT composites, which are plastic housings. These can be had from most off-road suppliers.

I have 4 lamps in the front of my 99 GC and 2 in the rear amber turn signals. The fronts are tricky to do in the GC and requires patience to do them cleanly.
