I am looking for some help on system compatibility and the different XTS3000 models. A couple of questions may seem common sense, but I don't want to make an investment w/out facts.

I do volunteer work with the local Sheriff's Office out here in Phoenix and am in need of a radio. The radio they buy from M is H09UCF9PW7BN that is flashed for IMBE / APCO-25 and SmartZone.

Now I have seen for example the radio on ebay (not that I would buy this, just using it as an example):

It is a H09VDF9PW7BN Flashed w/ IMBE/APCO-25 and Smartnet running between 825-870MHz.

From what I can tell from TrunkedRadio.net the Maricopa County ASTRO Smartzone system is 3600 baud in the 851-868 MHz range.

Questions:
1) Would there be an issue w/the ebay radio at 825-870MHz and the field radio at 806-870MHz since they are using freq in the 851-868 range?

2) Is it possible to have a radio like this Flashed from Smartnet to SmartZone w/encryption?

3) Will there be issues w/the 4.0-5.0W that the ebay radio has and the 1.0-3.9W the field radio? How much of a output powel level issue can there be?

I am fairly new to the amatuer radio arena and I am finding it extremely addicting as my wife is also finding out.

I appreciate any advise that you can give.

basically you are seeing incorrect info listed.

an 800 Mhz XTS3000 can be flashed for IMBE Smartnet and Smartzone at either 3600 or 9600 baud.

They are all 3w (the VHF and UHF radios and 5 and 4 respectively)

The frequency split for the 800 Mhz radio is 806 to 870 Mhz.

Make sure the flashcode matches the county radios and I would look very carefully for a legit radio with tags and not a parts built radio since you would be placing it on a public safety system.

Yep he is correct on incorrect info as the V in that listed flash code is obviously and error ALL 800 models of the XTS3000 are 806 to 870 MHZ.

The XTS3000 model I is a H09UCC9PW5_N, THE MODEL II IS A H09UCF9PW7_N AND A MODEL III IS A H09UCH9PW7_N THE UNDERSCORE _ IS SIMPLY A REVISION NUMBER, IT COULD BE 'A' OR 'B' BUT IT COULD BE SOMETHING DIFFERENT NOW.
