MT2000 vhf error message help

Hello I have a Mt2000 A4 vhf that when it powers up it gives an e01/02 error message and when tring to program it comes up a checksum error and will not allow anyone to read the radio. Is there any way to fix this problem. Thanks for any help.

I had an MTS2000 A7 with the same error just a few weeks ago. Atfer messing with it for a while decided to send to the depot. The unit returned working after the controller was replaced.
