I am trying to record the mic audio at J4 (rear) on a spectra.

Model W4.

Can this be done???
Conventional spectras allowed this on pin 1, but the astro spectra cct diagrams label this pin as "VRS TX"

Any help appreciated.

Pin 6 & & is recieved audio (speaker), it is balanced, and grounding either side WILL destroy the audio PA chip.

I've got that side sorted, but i need to be able to record what is being said at the mic as well. Idealy without drilling extra holes in the mic and having a birdsnest of wirte everywhere.

What is VRS????
