The XTS2500

Why is it that the XTS2500 seems so unpopular.
So far, I've only seen two EVER on eBay and they sold for about $800 each (model III w/Smartzone and IMBE)?
There was a complete VOCODER board available on eBay just recently and it sold (to me, BTW) for only $25! (I received it and it works from what I can tell). Now, I just have to buy the rest of the radio- totalling about $400 and I'll have a perfect XTS2500 (like new!) for only $425 - which is REALLY cheap.
But why doesn't anyone want to have an XTS2500 (other than me?) come on, I don't think thata encryption is that important especially when most of us (or maybe just me) can't legally decode any encrypted signals anyhow.
Because it hasn't been hacked??
I don't know about you guys, but I like smaller, compact radios. The XTS3000, 3500, and 5000 are too large for me (of course I own a 3000). I've got two HT1250s and the "interoperability" of chargers and batteries as well as their comperable size makes it something I've been wanting (and have the most important components of).
On another note, things I read about the XTS2500 and 5000 seem to indicate "much improved audio"- does anyone have a pair of 5000s (obviously nobody has a 2500) and can do an audio test and post it on the web? I'd like to know how much "better" IMBE can get!
