We keep several in stock just for that reason. But It depends on your RF board on how easy it is to change. The older RF boards have a round aligment hole and the newer ver. have a slot. The new rear housings are for the sloted RF boards. We have a tool from Motorola to notch the old Rf boards so the new housings will fit. You have to be careful around the alignment hole due to circuit traces in the board. For a price on the housing drop me a PM.

Not a reply but rather a question with regard to jedi antenna connectors coming loose from the frame: At which point of the jedi series revision was this problem corrected- I have a "B" revision, could I expect this to become a potential problem? -J

Ant. connection loose on HT-1000

The problem is that the ant. connector is pressed in the rear housing on l HT-1000's and all jedi series. (On rough use they will some times get loose). ON model VER#. AN and BN the problem was that the ant. connection would get loose some times and the connector would some times come out with the antenna. (We have had fireman loose ant. and connector makeing the radio useless until repaired). In CN and DN models the rear housing has the connector pinned in with a pin. But with rough use they still some times get loose but they will not come out easy.
