I was a dumbass and entered the wrong power-up lockcode a couple days ago, and the radio subsequently erased the DES-XL key. No biggie, since I'm not using it anyway.

Now it yells at me at powerup and says "key fail" and beeps every time.

Can I leave the DES-XL module in the radio, and select "no" for securenet in the RSS, without adverse effects to the operation of the radio?
