W995 Zone/Mode NJSP

Goes back to the old days. New Jersey State Police had a Zone/Mode SP option in radios that didn't have it back then. It carried over to a standard feature of the Spectra and MT2000.

I could see that, however that shows up under the flash options for the MTS/MCS/Astro series, which was out way after the Spectra's.

Perhaps it was a planned upgrade that was never released? This topic comes up every 6 months, but no one has an answer to it?

I thought it was for extra zones/modes i.e more than 160 or 250 modes and zones

I remember seeing an SP version of STX rss for the NJSP, never investigated it further but it's out there.
