MEDCOR

Post by 1 Adam 12 »

Medical Coronary Radio..... 10 Channel, mulit-tone (PL) radio on UHF Medical Channels 1-10 , uses MX radio elements, if the hi power model can, also do a repeat function. Also can transmit coronary EKG data to a hospital . Should have a duplexer inside it.

APCOR= Advanced Portable Coronary Observation Radio. Like they said, came in two flavors- high power stand alone version with repeat function -allowed a smaller portable to be used in the patients house/on scene while this unit remained in the ambulance serving as a repeater. and a low power version that was carried into a patients home/on scene and that unit relied on the vehicles repeater (medcom radio I think) to repeat the signal- these low power units had the capability to remotely "steer" the assigned medical on the ambulance repeater via a small keypad located on the apcor. these were full duplex units (all I think) with the ability to send ekg and carry a conversation simultanously. They were incredibly tough radios.
