I have lost my portable antenna color code information regarding Astro equipment. I was given an antenna for my Astro Saber. The color is blue, can anyone provide me the color code regarding all portable antennas for the Astro radios.

NAD6566 ANTENNA, 136-150.8MHZ WIDEBAND HELICAL
NAD6567 ANTENNA, 150.8-162MHZ WIDEBAND HELICAL

MARS

According to my Mt2000 manual:

NAD6563 ANTENNA, 136-174MHZ WIDEBAND DIPOLE ~ RED
NAD6566 ANTENNA, 136-150.8MHZ WIDEBAND HELICAL ~ YELLOW
NAD6567 ANTENNA, 150.8-162MHZ WIDEBAND HELICAL ~ BLACK
NAD6568 ANTENNA, 162-178MHZ WIDEBAND HELICAL ~ BLUE
NAE6546 ANTENNA, 380-435MHZ UHF HELICAL ~ RED
NAE6547 ANTENNA, 435-470MHZ UHF HELICAL ~ GREEN
NAE6549 ANTENNA, 380-520MHZ UHF WIDEBAND WHIP ~ BLACK

All the model numbers match up despite the fact its non-astro portable.

Based on your information, looks like I need to trade out some antennas.

MARS

Get the red insulator wideband dipole, 136-174 MHz...

a) You need it for MARS and ham freqs anyway.

b) It works great and is a compliment to the AS already good performance. It makes the radio a bit tall (18.5") but it's worth it, especially if you are doing a lot of work with the radio in fringe or other "iffy" areas.

Off topic: What revision is NTP-8 at now? My copy from when I was a Navy MARS Tango station a few years back was "C"
