Spectra Siren Wire Problem

Here is an easy one for you guys. My customer cut the speacker wires extremely short from the siren connector. How can I tell which wire is positive and which wire is negative? Thanks in advance.

If you are talking about the wires that go to the siren speaker, it doesn't matter.
Just hook them up. If you need to pull it out to replace it, it is pin 20 & 35 in the connector.
One is for 100watt speaker and the other is common.

If your asking about the actual DC power wires, they should be colored red for plus and black for ground. The black is pin B and the red is pin A.

i am talking about the speaker leads. they are 2 inches at best, and they have to go from 1 end of the truck to the other.

Most of the speakers wire that I have seen I call zip cord. I f you look close one of the wires is covered with a ribbed insulator.
As stated it doesn’t matter.

If you need to "go from one end of the truck to the other" use at least 16 ga. zip cord. Some of the car stero speaker cables melt too easyly. Siren speakers draw a few amps and any resistance in the wiring will reduce the power available at the speaker.
As for speaker polarity, it only matters when using the PA function. Reversing the speaker leads can reduce the feedback into the mic from the speaker, puts the sound out of phase so the hand mic does not tend to pick up as much.
