As did the Icom AT-500 autotuner. Not a bad unit.

Also, depending on the model, The Henry amp could be a nice find. Fairly well respected amateur/commercial Tube linear.

Matthew: All the pro audio stuff is most likely a waste of your time. Watch out for the wireless microphone units as they can be very tricky to find the good vs. the mediocre stuff, assuming you're interested in the pro sound stuff at all.

As was said above, the Icom auto tuner is a nice unit for HF operation with a multiband wire antenna.

I think that 1kW Harris HF rig is quite nice if you have the space to set it up. Afterall they even use them in North and South pole stations for DX.

The DOD, Dean Markley, Gorilla, Carvin are amps and effects pedals for electric Guiatar/Bass guitar. Unless you have a need for it or know a player, pass on em.

Matthew,

That was a luck guess. Since only the government can afford/need those rigs. If know some ham guys, it might worth getting.

Chris
ps Great radio I got from you.

Interestingly enough, I had a friend who summered at the south pole a few years ago, and the guitar and bass amplifiers don't surprise me. I guess there was a secondary building with the satcom antenna that also had a "rec room" and there were some musicians who would get together and play. I just want to know what happened to the drum set, that would be one I'd love to have. Incedentaly, My friend told me that the VHF sabers they used had to be kept inside the monkey suits or the batteries wouldn't produce enough juice to transmit. Interesting stories out of that place.
