Im accquiring a large amount of SP-50s soon. Around 12 I think. I am building a cache of them to be used by myself, my business and be able to loan out to my agency and other emergency services when/if needed. I have used my Sherrifs Dept radios OES cache before, and they have a VERY neat setup. They have some sort of waterproof/airtight "suitcase style" case to carry the radios. Each case has capability of 6 radios. It utilizes a 6 bank charger for M1225 Radius portables, and all you have to do is pull out the extension cord and you are charging! I would like to have this kind of setup for my SP-50s, SO:

1) Are 6 bank chargers made for the SP-50s?

2) Does anyone have or know of any type of case like I am talking about that can be converted to hold radios? (the one Im talking about was orange and made of extremely havey duty plastic that was waterproof, airtight, and could be dropped from 25 feet with no breakage)

3) Does anyone have any SP-50 radios or radio accessories (speaker mics, etc) for sale?

4) Would anyone be interested in trading 6 single chargers plus some $$$ for a 6 bank charger?

Thanks guys, and let me know!

The case you are looking for are Pelican cases, they work great, you can find them at most camera stores.

HI:

As the other fellow already stated, yes, Pelican, Zero, and others make well made
ruggidized Cases. However, they are Expensive !!

I do have a few of these if you are interested.

Typical cases can run in the 150.00 to 400.00
price class.

Also, YES !! Motorola does make a 6 unit rapid Charger, for the SP50's. Part number for the
6 Unit Rapid Rate Charger is HTN9067A. Runs
about 350-450.00 from Motorola.

They do make a Conversion Kit whereby you can take your single unit charger, and place
them into a holder for your current chargers, and the one for the Rapid Unit is a HLN9090. That runs around 200.00-300.00

I do have a good assortment of SP50's and the like, but I only have premium grade stuff. No junkers, or water damaged types.

Some accessories as needed, and parts too.
email me if you are interested.
