I need to find out how many conventional channels an MTX960 can have programmed into it.

I also would like to know if it is hard to program the radio out of band from 450-527MHz to 430-527MHz and could someone provide some insight into how i would go about doing this as i have no idea in programming radios out of band.

Regards,
Daniel

I don't think you can go that far. You have a 900 Mhz radio, not uhf. Correct me if I'm wrong. But no way will you be able to go down in the 450 range.

Sorry....

The MTX960 is available in VHF, UHF and 800mhz, funny though no 900mhz. I want to say it's 90 modes but I might be remembering the talkgroups.

1. They are avable in VHF, UHF 403 - 470, uhf 450 - 527, and 800mhz.

Modes / conventional channels

If it is a basic ( default ) 960 motorola states it has 10 conventional modes, but in fact you only have nine as the 10 mode is for a default trunking system

If it is set with privacy plus and roaming it surposts 250 or 260 modes ( channes), Simalar to a ATS2500 but no smartzone.
