ASTRO Spectra

I have Astro Spectras with the following flash. 140001-000000-3 I Currently use XTS5000's for all mobile units and the spectras as my base station. We operate in digital mode, VHF conventional. I want to enable the red button as an emergency notification to the base station. Can someone give me some pointers on setting this option up on both portables and the base station.

As far as I know the Astro Spectra will decode an emergency from a portable but only show the display alternating between Emergency and the unit ID. It will not beep the Astro Spectra to indictate an emergency button has been pressed nor will the Astro Spectra acknowledge the emergency signal from the portable.

Emergency acknowledge and emergency alert are functions of a console, whether it be a Centracom or Command Star.
