Computer Dispatch Console

Looking for a program that allows a computer to be used as a dispatch console, then an interface to the radios. Kind of like what 911 centers use but don't need the whole CAD system. I have seen them before at a few 911 centers I have been at. Use the computer with 5 or so frequencies. Mouse click to transmit and such...any ideas?

They have a PC based voice-over-IP console. It requires interface boxes to control the radios. Each interface box can control two seperate radios. It is pretty slick. You can even download the software and play with it, you just can't use it for real without a key.

Yes. Ask yourself if you would really trust a PC to be used in an environment where a system crash or failure could knock out your ability to communicate, and possibly affect someone's life as a result (as in a life-or-death situation).
Computers are fine for things like logging and computer AIDED dispatch, but I do not like the thought of trusting anything other than a dedicated-function dispatch console in a 911 environment.

I don't mean to be a smart ass...but what do you think a trs is. Essentially a computer controlling several repeaters.
Just my two bits.

This is going to be used for a back up. Not primary. But thanks for your concern.
