All,
I am trying to add PTT (post) MDC ID to a VHF Systems saber. I am not trying to setup any other MDC options. I have done countless Sabers but not too many Systems Sabers... I was setup the unit ID (F4-F6-F2). I then went into the channel specific info (F4-F6-F8) and did not see anywhere to turn on the MDC for that channel. I went into signaling (F9 of the channel screen) and did not see the MDC PTT Unit ID option. What have I done wrong? Is there a system wide setting that I am missing? Is it a radio limitation? The radio is an H43TUK5170CN CON 6-0 radio.

yes it is ...

Try changing from post (after) to pre (before) in the MDC screen. If the option to enable MDC suddenly appears in your personality screen and you have a securenet module installed, than you will not be able to have a post MDC. I have found that for some reason the radio will not go from coded to uncoded. It will however be able to transmit clear for an MDC ID and then switch to coded. I think it has something to do with the EOM at the tail of a coded transmission.
