Yes. I own three of them. One VHF, two UHF. Great radios. They run circles around the 5K's.

Nasty rumor. The audio is fine on the 169 UHF XTS3000 radios that I manage. Both digital and coventional, BTW.
(There is that better?)

I know that 169Hz is fine. The problems that I have heared about are in the 460MHz and 480MHz bands.

Hello to all. I own 2 Nick specials, both about 1 yr. old. They are both perfect, and have given me hours of listening pleasure.UHF & 800. I guess I was lucky to actually get them, but I'll forgo decals to save a few thou.

He manages 169 XTS3000 radios, nowhere in that post does he mention 169Hz

Hmmm, an XTS that could do 169 Hz would be really interesting, though...

several VHF XTS3000's, several UHF low and high XTS3000's and several 800 XTS3000's and no real issues with any of them. No big difference between the low UHF and the high UHF. Also several VHF XTS5ks and 800 XTS5k's with the FPP option, the XTS5000 receiver really is a bit better than the 3000's. No UHF xts5000s yet.

Does it count if you own them or the company you work for owns them?

No.
I used to own 1 of every bandsplit (all Nick's radios - I was actually a good customer of his).
They all went back on ebay though when...
- Prices started shooting back up with the departure of nick.
- Figuring out I really had no use for them, due to my area being predominantly ProVoice.
Now I find myself missing the VHF model.... I really liked the XTS series much better than the ASTRO Saber (easier to wear).
