I believe the XTS-3500 does have it's own CPS and it only works with that. See previous post below.

could be wrong, but believe 3500's use RSS only, no CPS.

Yes, RVN-4170 as someone else stated is RSS. The lastest version is version "D".

Best bet is to pay a local MSS to program it. At least the radio is useable then.
