Band+RSS confusion

Post by trioxide »

Hey guys, I'm a little confused. I've just bought a AS2, "H04RDF9PW7AN". The radio apparently has channels programmed ~418 MHz

I am trying to figure out what the true frequency range is?

http://www.batlabs.com/astromob.html#model

Says "R 438-482 MHz"

http://www.motorola.com/cgiss/docs/astr ... tsheet.pdf

Says "403-470 MHz"

Can anyone shed some light on this?

Also, I know I need at least the version of RSS that was last used to program the radio. How do I find out what was the last version used?

Thank you!

Its a low split UHF radio 403-470mhz sometimes refered to as the government split. The only way to tell the RSS version it to read the radio and if you get the message "codeplug to new for this application" it means you need a later RSS version. In short there is no way to tell.
