I have a Motorola Maxar80 800 MHz 10W version.

I want to convert to 900 MHz for ham usage.

The manual says they are split for Transmit 806-825 MHz, and Recieve 851-870 MHz.

I suppose this split could be a pain when up-banding.

Anyone ever up-banded one of these oldies?

I doubt it would be an easy job, moving the transmit range 100 mhz would certainly require major rework of the transmitter section!!

I did one of these. Not an easy job. I got near rated sensitivity. Power out I think I squeezed out 5 watts. This was not for the faint of heart.
