Astro Portable Newbie Question

I just read the NEWBIE Guide to ASTRO Portable Radios and i have a couple of question's about the XTS. In the guide it states that a Motorola XTS5000 with a serial number of 123ABC1234 is a developmental model, does this apply to the Motorola XTS3000 model 1 & 2 in the UHF band and if so, how do i tell if it's a developmental model if the serial number is different.

Also if i want to use the Motorola XTS3000 UHF model 1 or 2 in digital mode as well as conventional NON-Digital UHF repeater access with MDC1200 signaling on dekey, do i need to make sure the following flashcode options are installed?

Q806/G806 IMBE / APCO-25 Digital Operation

H101,G101,H169 Conventional Repeater Access (Analog Operation Only)(MDC1200 or Singletone)

You will need Q806 for Astro digital operation. The MDC trailing PTT ID is part of the basic feature set of the radio.

So all of the Motorola XTS3000 model 1 & 2 in the UHF band will do conventional analog repeater access regardless of the flashcode features?

Thanks for all the replys. The radio i'm planing on bidding on Ebay from a seller named global.radio, the radio is a XTS3000R UHF 403-470 MHz Model 1 Trunking Ready radio, Model: H09RDC9PW5BN.

Here's the Specification's below:

Motorola XTS3000R UHF 403-470 Mhz Model 1,

Model: H09RDC9PW5BN

DSP Version N08.02.06

Software Option: H37, Radio Codeplug version: 000C

Trunking Ready, Flashcode 100004-000000-4

1 Meg 48 Channels

Last Programming Software Version: DOS RSS Version R08.50.00
(CPS Version will program this radio, too)

Flashcode Options Installed:
Q806/G806 IMBE / APCO-25 Digital Operation
H37/G50 Smartnet Operation

As stated above, all i want to use the radio for at the present date is conventional analog repeater use(for example RX 463.6125 - TX 468.6125) and later on down the radio use it on a digital system and on a digital simplex frequency. Just want to make sure i'm buying a radio i can use(Not a developmental model) and will do the features i want befour i spend five hundred dollars or more. Thanks.

Just have one last question befour i buy this radio, if the DSP Version is N08.02.06, is there anyway to tell what the Host firmware version is. Just want to make sure this radio is a factory release radio and NOT a factory test radio. Thanks.

Pressing the button above the PTT 5 times within 10 seconds of the 'self test' being completed upon power up will show many things such as serial#, model#, flashcode#, DSP & HOST. Have the seller do it if you really need to know, but the DSP is a recent version, so it wouldn't be a test radio.
