I would be interested in hearing the views of anyone who has had experience playing around with the conventional audio adjustments available on the XTS5000. Thus far (and we are just deploying these radios), turning on the "mid-range boost" seems to work a slight, but noticeable, improvement in received audio.

On the TX side in analog I have our 5000's set to AGC with 0 dB gain and 6 dB total gain as per Motorola's suggested audio settings. We haven't touched the mid range boost or treble adjustment.
