They are Maxar 80 type radios, Unknown what band, and that one looks like it came out of some base station or repeater consolette of some sort, as it has a blank knockout for the mic connector... maybe part of an early mobile repeater package or ?? Anybody else.....?

I think I've seen that as the RF package on a few earlier MDTs'

That is correct, that IS a data transciever for MDT. It is a Maxar 80 radio with out any knobs!

So can anyone tell me what the pinout is for this unit??? The top 2 larger pins on the plug are power...as viewed from the rear of the radio, the one closest to the heat sink is positive. So anyone know what the rest are?? Where these were used of the freq. range of that model number???

What a find! I have heard of data-only versions of the Maxar family, but have never seen one before. Nice.
Batlabs has the pinout at:
http://www.batlabs.com/nosynth.html . It is listed in under the "Moxy" radio, which is a lesser sibling model to the Maxar80. Pay attention only to the text pinout there. Try to ignore the image pinout (that's for the 15 pin low-power version.)
<s>Are</s> Is there any other writing on the metal ID tag on the radio? This might help in ID'ing the frequency band. Also, stamped on the side of the chassis inside will be a TUE/TUD or similar code. This could help tell the band, too.
Again, you have a very neat radio, in my opinion.

Thanks for all the great information so far! I've posted a couple additional pictures to the website. There are a couple more lables inside that might help to identify the freq range and other "features".

Most of those are 800Mhz with DPL squelch. I'm not sure on that exact one though. I don't think they have any other freatures. If you have a Vhf unit, it would be good for Ham radio data modes.
