Hi.

Is there a friendly soul out there that can help
me with the tuning values on a MTS2000 VHF
model H01KDH9PW1BN??

I think my values are way out, so if there is someone
that has a list of his/her values that I can borrow, I
would really be happy. I would like to compare the
values against mine.

Best regards
Martin

There is no "default" set of values that will work.

You might get close, but this is a highly unrecomended way of "tuning" a radio.

You need to take your radio and have it tuned.

Hello:

MTS2000's are one of Motorola's Premium Radios !

In addition, the [ VHF ] models are much tighter
on the values than [ UHF ] Reason not known.

However, I have discovered since these radios
are adjusted at the factory by Robotics, the values
from radio to radio are pretty close within a few
Soft Pot values from one field to another.

Therefore, if you can find a " Code Plug " with the
Exact Model number of your radio, and a Serial Number
that is close, you can take the values from the Target
Radio and place them into yours.

That will at least get it to play.

However, if you want your radio to " Play Perfectly "
you will need to make sure ALL of the adjustments
are correct, and that will require some good service
skills !

I can say moving the VCO Softpot values off by 5 ~ 6 Points
away from where the proper setting is, can sometimes disable
the radio. Sad such a small change can have such a dynamic
impact on the radio, but thats due to its overall performance.

I am sorry I can't offer my services at this time since I am
just fully booked, but I think perhaps some others may step
in and offer to do it for you.

Motorola will do it, but 279.00 is a bit pricy for just a alighnment, however, you may have somehting else wrong in the radio, so
keep that in mind too.

What's the trick to applying the softpot values so they "stick?" I use the "program" button, and then "close" the tuning window and exit out of the tuner, and the values don't take.

Hit "program" after each value change. If you just hit "program" after changing more than one value, only the last value will be saved.
