Any suggestions which one might work, I have tried 2135 and a few others. It is unlocked, fortunately.

or Mot 2 key....In either case, I think I may have a Extra one.

I had a convertacom for my MT1000 at one time. I had several keys, and ended up keeping one. It is a MOT1. When I looked closely at it, it looks like it's a standard 2135 that was flipped 180 degrees on it's horizontal axis when cut. At that time, I didn't have a 2135. For grins, I took the MOT1 to a locksmith and told him to make a copy of the MOT1 on the same blank, but flip it. Sure enough, it worked. If you are in a pinch, it might be worth the experimenting.

Yes, the mt1000 convertacom uses the MOT1 key.

if you have a 2135, take it to a lock shop an d have them cut it on a CG6 blank, with the center groove 180 degrees from the 2135.
(if you put the blanks on top of each other, put the center grooves together, or the ridges together, and the orientation will be correct.)

Thanks for all the replies. I will have a copy made. A while back, I attempted to remove the lock cylinder from the unit. I seem to remember finding it extremely difficult to disassemble! (it stayed as-is)
