Minitor 4 Housings

I tried getting a backing for a M4 the other day and Motorola told me that since it is an intrin pager that the back housing on a M4 could not be sold directly and the pager would be needed t be sent in for repair at a flatrate of $120.

Is this for real or is this someone blowing smoke in the policy making department at /\/\.

My department bought this pager used at $150 as another department is going UHF and had no need for it.

/\/\ at it's finest again.

if it's intrinsically safe and the repair is not done at a "certified intrinsically safe repair center (ie a moto plant)"...when you get it back, it will no longer be I.S. That might be their reasoning for not selling it.

We're an MSS and we cannot order the plastics for the M4 either. Oddly enough, we can order the M3 plastics no problem. I gave up on trying to figure out the logic behind their pager policies long ago.

Hello.

You can not even order IS labels.
You can, however order any part that is not IS.
JT1000 IS, no go.
Standard JT1000, just about anything you want.
So, it is not just the pagers.
