Ok, so i finaly bought my first mobile radio, (yay for me) so heres the thing. I have a Motorola Maxtrac, with a 25 watt transmitter. I have an inline fuse hooked up to it. What type of fuse should i use for this.

For the main power cable, a 15A automotive-style fuse will be fine.

If the unit also has a wire for ignition control (coming out of the accessory plug), a 4A fuse will be more than adequate.

Can someone help me on how to wire my maxtrac for ignition control? I have the 16 pin model.

http://batboard.batlabs.com/viewtopic.p ... c+ignition

shows the ignition sense and how to enable and disable.
Look on the model specific stuff on the home page and there is a spreadsheet detailing the pinouts
