RSSI on MCS2000 Conventional

Post by motorolaaustralia »

Hi all,
Is it possible to get the Signal strength meter on a MCS2000 to work on Conventional channels?

If not, is it possible to use pin 22 on the accessory connector as a signal for an external RSSI meter?

Thanks, Dom

RSSI on MCS2000 Conventional

Hi
The only information I was given is that the RSSI (indicator) is used on trunking personalities only to monitor the control channel.

As far as the output goes, It is a simple analog voltage output on pin 22 so if someone were to design a signal bar meter and attach it, that could work.

If you put a volt meter accross GND and 22 it will come up with varying voltages depending on signal strength.

Thanks, Dom
