maxtrac help

Post by johnny1225 »

i have a maxtrac model # D27MQA5G82AK Mobile Radio that came into our shop. We do not have a service manual for it. I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to put this mobile into test mode and also what are the test frequencies for this model.

Thank you in advance

To put the Maxtrac into test mode:
1. Enter trunking mode(i.e. select 1A)
2. Wait 6 seconds or more
3. Turn radio off
4. Short jumper P808-B on logic board to ground - or - ground the
serial bus+ pin on the mic connector, pin 7, prior to turning radio back on.
5. There are 7 test frequencies, three fixed test mode freqs. and four control channel freqs. as follows:
test mode chan 1: rx 935.0125, tx 896.0125
chan 2: rx 938.0125, tx 899.0125
chan 3: rx 941.0000, tx 902.0000
The four control chan frequencies are the ones used by the system selected (ex. 1A) when test mode was entered.
6. To leave test mode, turn radio off, removed the jumper in (4) above, and turn back on.
