Pentium III for gp300, mx3000, mt1000 ect...

Is there posible to use PC with Pentium III microprocessor for programming older radios like MT1000, MX1000, P210 ect...?
In the BIOS turn off the internal and external cache to slow down the computer. This lets you program these radios fine.
