Hello. As the Subject says, I have a Toshiba Satellite 75MHz Computer. Will this be good for programming with RSS? (I plan on using it mainly for MaxTrac, HT1000, R100, GM300, and HT600.)
Let me know if this will do OK for that kinda stuff.
Thanks,
Ray

WAY Too fast for the R100 programming.

Toshiba runs some funny stuff, among which is their own
version of DOS, so be very careful. I have a Satellite running
at 333 mHz that runs the Vertex GUI programs fine but I would
never trust it to safely run a Motorola DOS program. Old
DOS machines are now so cheap it doesn't pay to take a
chance on "bricking" your radio.

Yeah it seems to be crapping out on me.
I turn it on and I can hear the HD spinning and all I get is a blank screen and then it freezes. Darn thing doesn't respond to anything. I can live without the R100 programming for a while, though. Only needed it to change the PL, but I'd rather leave it as is then.
