Stupid Question: ASTRO Control Heads

I know this is dumb, but I'll throw it out there:
Can you use a standard spectra A9 head on a W9 spectra? Will it work??
Whats the W9 head part #? Anyone have an extra one they'd sell?

The most common head is the HCN1078F.
There is a guy on eBay selling a W9 head but he lists a different part number (HCN1121A), plus not an actual picture, so I would be wary in the event you bid.

The actual Model # on that head is HCN1121A
And here's the link that I got it from. With the exception of the numbered function keys (the one that was sent to me just had numbers no functions) this is the actuall head that I baught, and am now selling on ebay. Doesn't work with my A& (Duh)

that's an Astro REAR control head - you can see the sticker.
i understand that you can program a rear control head as a "regular" front control head with no problems - but i've never done it.
however, it's still an astro-only head...

I have taken the firmware from a regular spectra A9 head and put in a astro head (both 1078 and 1121) and it works fine on a regular spectra then. I would suspect it would work the other way as well but don't have an astro spectra to try it on.
In fact I am currently using an astro 1078f on my X9000.
