The information has to be burned into the PROMS on the CSC board(s). I know that Motorola UO software division can do it (@ about $800 per PROM) - but whether or not you can find someone privately to do it, I do not know.

You also must know all of the details of overall system features and how you want to have the system set up. Examples include what frequency order, which channel/channels are control channels, voice channels, securenet channels, telephone interconnect, call sign(s) and BSI channel(s) - if you are digital capable, which talk group and individual ID blocks are analog and digital, etc. Motorola has a sheet you can fill in with the information that they need.

Depending on the vintage Genesis can do some prom programming.
If your not changing system keys or frequencies just plug in a dumb terminal and away you go

none of the freqs or sys key will change the system was taken out of service from the local pd and was given to the school board. we are in the process of getting the licence transferd (900 mhz system) the pd has since gone to the countys 800 system for "interop" so we were given the radios and system to replace the out dated uhf stuff
