Monty does a lot of selling of homebrew aftermarket cables, and stands behind his work. I do not know what he charges per cable, but from what I see, he does good work, and a great person to deal with. I suggest emailing him over sending a PM.

Quality always comes w/a price

I'm another satisfied customer of ScanShop. Bought a Jedi cable from him, no problems at all with the many MTX, MTS, and HT1000s I've programmed so far!
Built my own Maxtrac cable, but that's different...

I took my saber cable, changed pin 6 to 8 (or what is 8 to 6? -- see batlabs) and Bam! Astro Saber cable.

Rather than altering your factory or aftermarket, saber or a/s cable, pickup a little adapter from radio shack which has the db25 on both sides and make the required jumper changes, this works great as I have used that for a few years before getting teh nerve to purchase a genu-"wine" motorola astro cable.

HI:
For those interested in a [ multi-Mode ] Astro / Saber
program cable, I have both Factory ones & Clones
My clone Cable is made Perfectly, with all the proper
cable supports @ both ends for Commecial Use. With
a Adaptor I make, you can use the Normal Saber Propgram
Cable, and immediately have a Astro-program Cable.

The Saber Cables I sell above for 85.00, and the Adaptors
for 30.00
If you are a Die Hard, Do Flash Programming, I can offer
you the Facotry originals for 195.00 and I also have the
RTX4005B Series Test Boxes too
The reason the Factory Astro-Saber Cables are so
expensive is they have the Flash options
