The software for the XTS2500/5000 talks about a ribless cable RKN 4105 (USB) or RKN4106 (serial). Are these the only cables that will program it? Is there no way to use the old rib and Jedi style cable?

Answering myself according to Motorola only the new ribless cables work on the XTS2500 5000 and Astro Spectra Plus and they will not work on the older radios.
